Through MyCIL’s skills training, we can help you develop new skills that will serve you well on your journey to living independently. If you have a new disability, we may be able to help you recover skills you may have lost. Together, we can help you achieve your independent living goals.

- Personal growth — With the help of your Independent Living Specialist, you can set personal growth goals and design a plan to meet them. As you progress through your skills training, we’ll update your individualized program as needed. We’ll help you achieve a more fulfilling and independent life.
- Job and career — Through our job and career training, you develop the skills you need to obtain a fulfilling job or start a rewarding career. From training on specific job duties to developing interview skills, you’ll gain the confidence you need to succeed in the workforce.

As a MyCIL client, you get a customized training plan that is right for you. Your Independent Living Specialist will review your goals to recommend the best skills training to meet them.
Your skills training plan can include one-on-one training and training in a group setting. You will also get training customized for how you learn best.
Whether it’s through hands-on instruction, role-playing or any of the other training tools we use, you will develop the skills you need to live independently in your own home.
