If you live in southwestern Pennsylvania and your home needs repairs or renovations, you may be eligible for a grant to cover half the updates. If you receive the grant, your home repairs or renovations will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $3,000.

This means you’ll need to find the funds to cover half the cost of the repairs or renovations. Sources of funding can include monetary donations, material donations, volunteer hours from trade schools or other groups and your own contributions to the project.

You can use the money to make home modifications for your disability, improve your home’s energy efficiency or fix any health or safety issues.

Do I Qualify?

To qualify for the home-renovation grant, you need to:

  • Live in either Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, Mercer or Westmoreland county
  • Own and live in the home that needs modifications
  • Have a disability or live with someone who does
