On Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 the Ladies Auxiliary of Scranton Chapter of UNICO presented the Transitional Skills Center with a generous donation of $2,400. The money was raised at their annual Bocce Night, held on June 1, 2018 at the Victor Alfieri Club.
The Victor Alfieri Club donated dinner that night, so all proceeds raised could go directly to the Transitional Skills Center.
The money the Ladies Auxiliary of Scranton Chapter of UNICO raised will be used to support the programming of the Transitional Skills Center.
UNICO, the largest Italian American Service Organization in the United States, promotes and enhances the culture and image of Italian Americans through service to the community.
Thank you Ladies Auxiliary of Scranton Chapter of UNICO and the Victor Alfieri Club!

Transitional Skills Center students in our culinary program worked with Lackawanna College Culinary chefs learning to cook and prepare various meals. This after-school program, which provided a total of 120 hours of training, ran four times a week. Graduates earned a college credit upon completion.
All of the eight students who participated enjoyed the program. We capped off their achievements with a dinner and certificate ceremony.
Please note: MyCIL and ACES$ are closed for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
MyCIL has proven time and again to be a valuable resource and information clearinghouse on matters related to disability awareness, acceptance, and accommodation.
I just wanted to send a note to say thank you for your above and beyond customer care. I am still a fairly new client, but I have to share that the transition and hiring process has been smooth.
The friendly ACES$ staff always responds promptly to our questions and treats us with courtesy and respect.

We particularly like how MyCIL’s professionals have come up with special projects that allow these kids to get involved in the community and become contributing members of society.
