Since 1988, MyCIL has been providing help for people with disabilities to live independently. Our Center for Independent Living in Scranton, PA offers five core independent living services to 10 northeastern PA counties. Through ACES$, MyCIL provides Client-first FMS solutions in five states.

MyCIL is a Center for Independent Living.
Through ACES$, we provide Client-focused financial management services (FMS), making us the largest non-profit FMS provider.
MyCIL includes a team of dedicated people who want to improve the lives of people with disabilities. But we are more than just Independent Living Specialists — we are people who understand what having a disability means. Over 51% of our team has a disability. In fact, many use our services. By knowing firsthand what it’s like, we can better serve you.

What Living Independently Means to Us
To us, living independently means living your best life, your way. You should decide how to live your life. You should decide what services and supports you need. And you should decide how best to use your funds. Just as anyone in the general population, you deserve to live an independent life, your way.
Independent living gives adults with disabilities and families of children with disabilities choice. This includes the choice of caregivers. It also includes choosing what services you want to use your resources on.
Having the choice of caregivers and control over your budget empowers you. In turn you will experience more freedom. The result is a better quality of life.
For each person, the definition of independent living is different. Our role is to help you achieve your unique definition of independent living. With MyCIL, you get a partner in independent living who tailors services to fit your needs, goals and challenges. Together, we can live independently.
